Inflation adds to tough times
Folks, the inflation numbers for 2007 are beginning to be reported. I know numbers are usually boring but some of the following are actually very interesting. Our inflation rate is determined by the cost of a so-called basket of approximately 140 items. The price of these items is compared to the price of these same items one year ago. Folks, we are killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Capitalism and the free market made our country the greatest nation that has ever existed. And now we are selling it. There is a term "Sovereign Wealth Fund," SWF, which came into being about 50 years ago. It wasn't a real important term until just the past month or so. Now it is becoming a household word.
