3/3/2008 7:07 AM Inflation adds to tough times Folks, the inflation numbers for 2007 are beginning to be reported. I know numbers are usually boring but some of the following are actually very interesting. Our inflation rate is determined by the cost of a so-called basket of approximately 140 items. The price of these items is compared to the price of these same items one year ago. Each individual's inflations rate is different because we each have our own unique spending habits. ...

Without you, there is no reason to write the column. Second, we want to thank all the people who help us. This includes proofreaders, editors and publishers.... ...
2/18/2008 8:33 AM It's all about taking our money Folks, in the past I have shared thoughts with you on the greed that destroyed major corporations, like Enron, for example. I am not the only one in the world who thinks we have a major problem with our whole educational system.... ...
1/28/2008 9:53 AM Greed plays role in economic woes Folks, I guess with the economic problems that our country is currently facing, it is necessary for us to take a look at where we are and where we hope to get to. But before we look at economics, I want to regress for just a moment. ...
1/21/2008 9:24 AM Wake up to the tactics of the WTO Folks, I have written about the World Trade Organization (WTO) and shared my thoughts with you on several occasions in the past, but each of those columns was about the WTO overriding our laws and our courts and it was all about corporate profits. ...
1/14/2008 9:39 AM Can anyone fix health care system? Folks, Hummers are a luxury item for people who have earned a lot of money or perhaps inherited it. And that's OK. I have a car and I don't need a Hummer..... ...
1/7/2008 10:05 AM Parents, teachers must take control Folks, take a look at the following two statements: "It takes a village to raise a child;" and "No Child Left Behind." We hear these statements over and over again. Actually, the "No Child Left Behind" statement is a law.... ...
